Original artwork description:

Small figurative piece that evokes a lot of meaings to me. I've carved it imediately after my return from my long stay in Mexico a couple of years ago and I feel it carries a lot of what I brought back with me from there and learnt from the land and people there.
The work is about groundeness, stability and roots and -pesonified by female figure - it also speaks more universally of care and that special feminine strength connected to it.
The statuette is naturally hand carved in a single beautiful piece of bocote wood (which also comes from that landapolished and finished with natural tang oil
The signature is incised in wood on the bottom of the piece and I'll aditionally provide a signed certificate of authenticity.
