Graphic composition on canvas by JL Lacroix based on cogs, postage stamps... Created from a play of typography and calligraphy for the graphic composition, the red and ivory colors contrast with black and gold. The whole canvas forms a harmonious, seductive aesthetic.
In this work, the artist has fused acrylic, collage, gilding and cement to create a semi-abstract composition, imbued with symbolism. The bold use of texture and relief allows the artist to explore the dichotomy between ancient and modern, while provoking reflection on time and identity. Each element harmonizes to inspire and arouse curiosity.
