The sage grouse is part of my alphabet of endangered birds. It's fairly common in Idaho. When the male grouse is courting, two yellowish sacks on his neck inflate... like two big balloons. Unbelievably weird and yet exotic!

I printed this image onto Strathmore paper and then colored it in with watercolor!
