Original artwork description:

Seeing Titian's Venus of Urbino at the Uffizi Gallery inspired me to create a large, reclining female nude.
Referring to a photo by Olivia Preston taken by Xeno Photo, with her permission, I was able to give birth to this work.

A long, blonde woman lies on a bluish-gray sheet. She rests on her hip and right side, balancing herself with her right hand and outstretched arm. Her left hand is behind her head, her right hand at her side.
Her legs are bent in front of her, highlighting the curve of her left hip.
The background is red ochre, reminiscent of rusty sheet metal, hence the work's name.
The light comes from stage right.

Materials used:

Oil painting
