Original artwork description:

I hiked all day from Viterbo to Montefiascone with the view of Basilica di Santa Margherita in the distance... and of course, up a very steep hill!!!!

Recently I escaped from the confines of my studio in Malta and headed out solo on the Via Francigena in Italy, hiking 135km from Rome to Montefiascone. Each village I passed through involved steep winding cobbled streets, old buildings and history.
I have a new appreciation for my surroundings in Malta. There is beauty in the ancient buildings, the peeling paint, the natural muted colours. I love to wander and get lost in them.

A NEW Collection - Rustic Street Collection. This series of paintings are different from my previous work but still involve texture.
Using textured medium I created these little 3D higgledy piggledy houses in muted umber, buff and greys.

Materials used:

Acrylic
