This painting depicts one of the artist’s favorite subjects, the Russian model Valeria V. While they have never met in person, Valeria and the artist follow each other on Instagram, and have collaborated on many paintings. This close-up portrait showcases the luscious tones and textures in the skin and hair and emphasizes the artist’s distinctive brushwork and elegantly loose painting style.

All of Leslie Singer’s paintings are drawn free-hand, and this piece is painted in oil on a wood panel. The finished work is framed in a black wood floater frame, ready to hang in any room.
