Original artwork description:

Winter snow comes in from the East and often covers parts of rural Kent. This painting is based on a local view of East Kent where I live. The landscape is dissected with dykes and waterways reminiscent of East Anglia and the Netherlands with isolated farms. Painted in oil on linen canvas stretched and nailed on the sides in the traditional way for a more rustic look. A square format painting is said to evoke a sense of serenity and calmness. It could also be dropped into a frame for added impact if required.

Materials used:

oil, inks
