This watercolor painting takes us to a quiet village evening, where the sky is covered with clouds, pierced by the last rays of the sun. The rich shades of yellow, gray, and blue create a dramatic contrast, reminding us of the fleeting nature of weather and the ever-changing mood of nature.

I painted this piece at my home, in my village in Ukraine, during early spring. The air was still crisp, but the warmth of the coming season was already palpable. In front of me lay a familiar view—the neighbor’s house, partially hidden behind a fence and fruit trees just beginning to bloom with delicate white flowers.

In the foreground stands an old wooden utility pole with wires stretching into the distance, as if connecting the past and the present. Beneath it, a neatly stacked pile of wood awaits future household use. Everything here breathes rural tranquility and the simplicity I have known since childhood.

This painting is special to me because it captures the atmosphere of home—a place where the seasons change, yet something remains constant: quiet evenings, the scent of the earth after rain, and the feeling of unity with nature.
