Recently, I had a conversation with an architect who shared with me the captivating history of Middle Eastern salukis. He explained how these dogs' bloodlines have remained pure over millennia through careful breeding and selective distribution to deserving individuals.

Throughout my career as a sculptor, I've created numerous dog sculptures, mainly custom pieces. I'm always exhilarated when I come across an animal, especially a dog, that embodies both emotion and form. The images and narratives surrounding the Shajarat-al-Hayat ('Tree of Life') in Bahrain deeply moved me. Visualizing the majestic salukis traversing the desert landscape sparked a vivid imagination, which I endeavored to translate into this saluki statue. Sculpting this piece was a fulfilling experience, and now I'm considering sculpting a life-size or larger rendition, perhaps depicting a pair of salukis in motion.

This bronze saluki statue features my signature and a unique edition number. Each casting of the Running Saluki sculpture will undergo my personal approval process and will come with a certificate of authenticity.

Additionally, 10% of the proceeds from the sale of this bronze dog sculpture will go towards supporting 'The Dogs Trust' animal charity.
