Original artwork description:

This figurative sculpture has been created from one whole orange 12" vinyl music record (Trainspotting soundtrack, limited edition), and mounted upon a 10 x 15 x 2cm clear acrylic block. The clear perspex rod has been custom formed. The liquid-like figure has been created using various heat sources. The 180gsm vinyl looks almost marbled when day light or a light sources shines through it. Fine art practice contrasts with modern materials.

Each figurative, contemporary sculpture from the "REmuse" series is sculpted from one whole 7" or 12" vinyl record, with nothing added and nothing removed from the original material - function becomes form.
