Artwork description:

A curious and lively little sculpture of an endearing running creature with a great sense of life, colour and movement.

This creature is running off towards his own adventure, whatever that may be. A well-meaning and jaunty character, he leaves us to wonder how a creature can be so hollow and still be able to run along like that.

Running O is made of a beautiful translucent British eco-resin, allowing interesting glimpses through to its internal structure, which is the wire armature inside it. It is mounted on a black flat acrylic base, and is 11cm long, 8.5cm tall, and 5.5cm wide including the base. It looks particually vibrant if you place it with the light coming from behind it. The sculpture is for sale as a limited edition of 24. You can see pictures of my casting the Running O in the “Me at Work” section of my Profile.

The sculpture is initialled on the creature’s right side near its tail, and comes with a signed letter of authentication, stating its edition number. It is robust and can withstand small knocks and movements in the home. Being made in a light-weight material, it weighs less than half a kilo and is easy to transport and move about. I package it in a sturdy cardboard box and it travels very well by courier.

An engaging little creature that provides a welcome highlight running across our furniture as if it was his own landscape.

Please feel free to send me a message with any questions. There is a “Contact Me” button next to the “Follow Me” button under my profile images. Thank you so much for your interest in my work.

Please note – the positioning of the red colour in the Running-O’s will be similar in all of the casts in the edition, filling up the bottom part of the creature, but the exact positioning may vary a little because the exact boundaries of yellow and red are created by random movements of the two colours against each other in the mould.

Materials used:

resin
