In creating this piece, I delved into the potent energies of mysticism and history conveyed through minimalist symbolism. The textured blends of oil and wax evoke a tactile depth, while the stark, rune-like symbols carved gently into the center panel whisper ancient wisdom. The fiery reds bordering the serene, weathered white center invite a dialogue between passion and peace—a visual and emotional dichotomy meant to stir and soothe the soul of any space it graces.
Encaustic abstract painting over a hardboard panel. The painting size is 58 x 74 x 2.5 cm.. Encaustic is a wax based paint composed of beeswax, damar resin for elasticity and pigment or oil paint, which is kept molten on a heated palette. When It's applied to the surface with brushes then it's reheated again in order to fuse the paint, bringing the colors into a harmonious composition.
