When I moved to Boise, I had to leave my rubber tree. It was big; maybe five or six feet tall. I missed that plant. It's so hardy and predictable. Despite my neglect, it would continue to churn out leaves. I bought another one a month or so ago, but it's not very big. So I made one that looked like my last plant/tree. And I added a bit more color than the real one has...and that was fun!
I drew the image onto linoleum, carved it out, printed it onto Arches paper with black ink, and then colored it in with gouache and watercolor.
