ROYAL FLUSH refers to how women can be the object of attention, but to protect themselves they tend to not be authentic. I always say, don't be a follower, be a leader. Be yourself, no matter what others say. With our example, we can do so much good and so much wrong. So beware, and watch what you do. I have painted the texturized background in a deep blue, to mimic the old walls that I love in my hometown of Cartagena, Colombia.
ROYAL FLUSH is part of the collection, Story of a Woman, a homage to women and their role in society and the family. They are moms, therapists, beautiful, hard workers, cooks, doctors, and many times without needing a degree. This series is all made with oils and collage that has been painted over to enhance the colors. They are all made on linen to ensure the best quality. All my paintings are originals.
