Roundism – 26-03-19

The sheets on my duvet on which my model lay show nice checkered patterns. Her body contrasted them quite nicely and I decided to exploit this to the max. I also wanted to combine graphite pencil with colored pencil and see if I could harmonize both materials. I found out I did not need to employ many different colours, only varieties of red, pinks, purples and violets. The result is some kind of roundism, impressionism and realism. I kept the figure as much as ‘open’ in order to create some airiness.
