Roundism – 23-12-20 (sold)

Risqué
Just on the brink of Christmas I thought I should make a roundism drawing looking rather risqué. It was a strange and hefty year for us all, I think. Dramatic I also could call it, next to unbelievable. At least such a pandemic is new to us, even though such an event once in a while drops by. Finally I should call it dull because there is not much do. Museums, my favorite hangouts, are closed and even if they are open, restaurants and bars are closed. No way to have a pint after a visit and see beautiful women pass by on a terrace. Perhaps people became even more prudish due to corona and lockdowns, were it not of the fact that they already have pre-corona. Hence, this risqué nude drawing to shake things up a bit.

New Session
My previous graphite pencil drawing ‘Hommage to the Entombment of Christ by Caravaggio – 05-12-20’ was based on the penultimate model session I had with my regular model. It was time again for a new session and she came up with some possible poses. This pose was her suggestion and together we worked on perfecting it. The idea was to have her look over her shoulder so only the eyes would be faintly visible. The curvy right thigh was my idea, contrasting the verticality of the left thigh. I had to adjust the lamps a bit so I got a great rhythym of light-dark (duvet), light-dark (left thigh), light-dark (right thigh).

Tickling Your Minds
The very dark region between her buttocks was a bonus too, obscuring her genitals. That is why I would call it risqué rather than pornographic. Nothing more fun than teasing! May it tease and tickle your minds in 2021 and invite you to love and touch eachother again after C.
