The iconic Apple Store Chicago's radius glass corner with spectacular views, captured by photographer William Dey.
Every design feature at The Apple Store Chicago, minimizes the boundaries between the interior and exterior, including the ultra-thin roof and 32-foot glass walls. The transparency is heightened with radius corners of glass that visually disappear. The architects also tapered the metallic-colored Mac book-inspired roof’s edges so it visually rests more lightly on top of the glass walls.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this artwork will be donated to the Chicago Architectural Center. Formerly known as the Chicago Architecture Foundation, the Chicago Architecture Center is a nonprofit cultural organization with tours, exhibitions, programs and events for all ages. Their mission is to inspire people to discover why design matters.
