Original artwork description:
I live on the Hudson River. On an exceptionally windy day its waves were chaotic. The surface of the water was wild. That day inspired this collage. Trying to capture the vitality of the scene I made 2 similar pictures; cut one in vertical strips, the other horizontal; then wove the strips together. From that woven picture I again got 2 separate collages by cutting it apart at its joints. I lifted off the top layer, attaching it to a backing and thus made Rough Waters I. The same treatment for the bottom layer made Rough Waters II. I'm selling the two together for $1600 or $1000 for a single picture
