Painted on-site at Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners, WI. Features a hybrid peony flower with petals in shades brilliant rose and salmon, with light yellow and white highlights and a bright yellow-orange center. The variegated background was created with splattering effects with water-based casein paint, with additional glazing and in oil. The flower is painted with both brush and palette knife, and the shapes of the petals are enhanced by the shaping of the oil paint with palette knife. Framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a gold colored finish. May be purchased unframed by request.
