Ross Sands is an abstract take on the wonderful surroundings around Bamburgh and Budle Bay when Paul stayed there sketching and painting.

With distant sage fields with flash colours of the rape fields, deep blue oceans and surf breaks on the sandbanks, Ross Sands Two is an interpretation using impasto swathes of colour and texture. Painted in acrylic with palette knife and brush glazes on heavy acrylic paper, the painting in float mounted in a frame and signed/stamped on the reverse.
