The painting was influenced from two Irish songs. The Mountains Of Mourne and Star Of The County Down.
The Mourne mountains serve as backdrop with its dry stone walls and abandoned cottages on twisting roads.
Rosie is depicted riding a cycle through the patchwork fields towards the coastal town of Newcastle County Down.
Painted on triple primed slim line canvas with edges painted as part of the scene. Finished in soft sheen artists varnish to avoid glare from indoor lighting. Strung and ready to hang.
