I chose this contrasting palette of deep dark umber and soft rose pink, to create this calming canvas in Acrylics.
My paintings are often inspired by my love and fascination with ever-changing skies and cloud formation. I try to capture the movement and mood of the sky - Calm and dreamy, to dramatic and surreal.
In this piece, I aimed to capture the surrealities and drama of a dawn sky, as the light reflects off the waters in the valley.
I study the skies over the Cheshire hills, close to my home and also the coastal skies over Anglesey, North Wales,
