Original artwork description:

Roses are practically synonymous with Valentine’s Day. The tradition of giving Valentine’s Day flowers dates back to the late 17th century, with a bourgeoning of a new art — the language of flowers — one’s ability to communicate using flowers without uttering any words at all. The red rose, as you may have guessed, translated to deep love, and the meaning of pink roses can stand for femininity, elegance, refinement, and sweetness.
