Abstracted flower painting.

I enjoy making dreamy abstracted paintings, playing with colour relationships and using vibrant, and some florescent paints. Overlapping colours and using texture and shape to make an arresting image is something I love. This piece is very inspired by rose petal dropping off the bloom, their delicacy and fragility is part of the charm of flowers.

I use brushes, cloths, palette knives and my hands to apply paint in different ways and create a rich textured surface. I also use very bright color, which makes a real impact visually.

This 30x30cm canvas has white painted edges, is unframed, and is strung with picture cord ready to hang.
