That’s some nose! A comical Rose Chafer Beetle which I first came across last year when digging around in my flower beds - he seemed to be dead but then surprised me with a sudden take off. This painting can add a little humour and wonder to an unloved corner of your home. It is a fun miniature Artwork, painted on a vintage airmail letter giving it a wonderful feeling of a long lost correspondence with sketches, take a closer look and you’ll also see the fun in the details. This small painting will raise a smile so perhaps it could be a suitable Valentines gift for someone who has a love for Bugs! A perfect painting for those small and ‘in between’ spaces in your home.

Features: Original lively, expressive and illustrative ink and Watercolour miniature Artwork painted in 2021. Created using old ledger paper with gesso preparation, Indian ink, Acrylic ink and watercolour paint. Marks and splatters give the Artwork a fresh and immediate style where my 'working out' can be seen and enjoyed.
This painting measures 10cm X 10cm or approx 4" X 4" and appears 9.5cm X 9.5cm in the mount. It will be sent to you matted (mounted) in a 8" X 8" (approx 20 x 20cm) off white mount as shown, with a certificate of authenticity making it immediately ready for gifting or adding into a standard frame.
