Original artwork description:

A large, mighty tree is painted with spontaneous brushstrokes, the gestural handling of painting, regardless of the running and dripping paint, determines the character of the artwork. The strong roots shimmer in iridescent colors, they grip firmly into the ground and give this imposing trunk its support. The motivation for this work is of a very personal nature; it is a reflection on origins and belonging in a life full of changes of location and constantly finding one's bearings.
