The Root sculpture series is based on the process of studying tree roots and recoding them into an abstract language that oscillates between the geometric and the organic. Even though it may seem like a contradiction, the shapes with marked edges and a geometric predominance are developed through curved shapes. This game of contradictions allows the work to have its own language, taking the natural object it represents to another level.
The pieces are made of welded and oxidized carbon steel, which helps to increase the organic appearance of the work.
