Artwork description:

Proudly guarding his corn patch, keeping order amongst the hens, it is a hard work day for a Rooster ;o)) My mum keeps hens and this is her rooster, he is a very very proud guy, and busy, I also though it very fitting she calls him Big Boy!
WHAT IS A LINOCUT?: A handprinted linocut reduction print, reduction means that as I am printing the very short edition of 11 prints, I cut away areas to keep the color I just printed. This is quite a complicated process, great fun, as you don't really know how the print is going to turn out until the end, it is a technique I enjoy very much, as it feels quite like you are painting with your linocut knife and your roller with ink. Experience has taught me incredibly much about this way of printing, managing the ink, using pressure, etc etc, given the choice this is my favorite way of printmaking!

All my lino prints are printed by me, printmaking is my big love!
I have used a range of beautiful non toxic blockprinting inks in soft earth bound colors,
with a sooty black as the final color for the rooster.

SIZE: The linocut is printed on a warm white piece of velvety printmaking paper,
the image measures 19" x 15" (48 cm x 38 cm)
and paper is 22" x 19". (56 cm x 48 cm)
This is a quite a large print, and strong enough to be framed even larger to make a real impact in the space you hang it.

EDITION: I have signed, titled and numbered (11 prints) the print. This is no 9/11

SHIPPING: I ship from my studio in Denmark with many years experience in packing my art so it arrives safely, see my many reviews.
