Original artwork description:

A woman takes in a view from her shuttered window. The setting is the French Riviera. The inspiration for this piece is the work of Gustave Caillebotte. The painting is part of my 'nomadic traveller' series.

The brush strokes are bold, big and loose and the palette carefully chosen to mirror the hues found from Cannes to the Languedoc.

Painted using the finest artist's oils and mediums on a professionally stretched linen canvas and finished with a light glaze of satin varnish.
