From a series documenting a corvid colony between February and April 2018. The colony nests in a copse of ancient chestnuts, silver birches and oak trees on the edge of the Town of Rye on Romney Marsh in East Sussex, and comprises rooks and jackdaws with an annexe of magpies close by. Rooks, like many corvids, mate for life and return to the same nesting spot every year. This couple arrived at the end of February to make sure they got their spot.
