This painting is an imperfect snapshot of a moment in time. There are shared similarities between this group of corvids and a group of people. I wanted to create a nostalgic portrayal of a family portrait from the 1980’s, before digital cameras, when photos showed flaws . I've tried to paint this flock as individuals, with each bird portraying its own character, as in any human community or group of people.
