On the second day of my trip to Venice, while it was mostly sunny, a short spell of rain changed the mood and atmosphere of the place dramatically. Of particular interest was the wet pavement, which gradually leads the eye toward the figures, enjoying a walk in the rain. I think I've succeeded in conveying that mood in this painting.
