This is a plein air painting that I tried to capture the serene beauty of Irvine Regional Park. Set against the backdrop of a peaceful lake, the centerpiece of this picturesque scene is a charming red barn nestled amidst the lush, natural surroundings. This barn serves as the storage facility for the park's large wheeled paddle boats, which can be rented by visitors.

The vibrant, bold red of the barn stands in delightful contrast to the calm blues and greens of the landscape. The reflection of the barn in the still waters of the lake adds depth and a sense of symmetry to the composition.
