In the early summer of 2015 I had the pleasure of travelling to Romania for a cycling trip. I was travelling with the Global Heritage Fund (GHF) and the trip was organised by The Slow Cyclist. With a mixture of cycling, walking and some driving we spent five days admiring the wonderful landscape and villages and enjoying the hospitality of the locals.
The GHF helps funding restoration work to preserve the vernacular architecture of the Saxon Villages, using traditional building techniques.
