This artwork belongs to a series called "Natural Flags", which are landscapes inspired by the work of landscapers, they can also be from trips I have made, or by photographs of places I have seen in magazines, on the internet, or listening to music.
This flag or landscape of more or less abstract shapes deals with the stones that are in the rivers, which are knocked against each other until their shapes are rounded, in the same way that occurs with the planets. In the upper part we see islets, which appear to float on a sea of light. Perhaps that path of the boulders in the river is a path of illumination, towards knowledge, based on blows and mistakes, but which lead to a broader field.
No frame is needed, because the canvas has 3.5 cm deep painted edges.
