Original artwork description:

Walking along the Juraissic Coast and Dorset Hills is often a starting point for my paintings. In particular the light was bouncing off the rolling hills far off into the distance creacting wonderful shapes and collours. i started sketching, and making colour notes as well as recording the moment in photographs. I wanted to capture the play of light which is so fleeting in an oil painting.

On returning to the studio I worked on the composition and started to produce the final artwork. It certainly lifts one's mood to see the beauty of light in nature.
