Original artwork description:

Living by the sea near the mouth off a river offers many opportunities to see the many effects the changing tides have on the mud flats and surrounding estuary. I love capturing these sudden surprises in nature as the light changes with drawings and photographs.

On returning to the studio I worked on the composition and started to produce the final artwork. It certainly lifts one's mood to see the beauty of light in nature.
