Landscape of Auvergne, France.

This painting depicts a peaceful river in summer, in Auvergne, France. I have tried to capture this corner of nature in its materiality and to seize the fleetingness of time passing. The water and rocks seem to converse with light and shadow. Each stone is placed like a punctuation mark in the landscape.

The white finish on the sides of the canvas allows for hanging without a frame if you wish.

Materials used:

This painting is painted with professional grade oil colors on a primed canvas. I prepare myself my canvases to create a texture specific to my painting needs and to insure them maximum longevity.
