Original artwork description:

An acrylic plein air painting sketch while I was on holiday in Dalbeattie, Scotland. I created this sketch while sitting on the balcony of our house. The scene appeared to me classic, iconic and an exercise in differening tecture. The rolling hedgerow contrasted with the lines both vertical and horizontal. The flag pole and sea horizon held by the island - Heron Island. Truely beautiful. The colous are early morning, the sky settled and light. The hedges creating a soft rolling form like hills in the foreground. Painted in acrylic on waterford paper.
