Original artwork description:

The inspiration for this striking painting came from two sources - spectacular coastal rock formations captured while on holiday, and the idea of depicting simple abstract forms with a limited colour palette, using layering of paint, masking before applying paint to create sharp edges, and experimenting with creating textures and revealing hidden layers using scratching and wiping.

I have used artists' quality acrylic paints on a robust 40cm square Gerstaecker acrylic-primed canvas board.

I have signed the work on the back (as shown in the images) but my stylised initials form part of the composition.

The artwork is sold unframed, but I have included some app-generated images showing it framed, for visualisation purposes.

Please note that I am willing to ship to most countries, so if the shipping profile for this artwork does not include where you are, please feel free to message me to make a request. Also, the shipping cost quoted is a possibly rather over-generous provisional allowance, until I can investigate in detail. I will not overcharge you for shipping, I promise!
