As a child holidaying on the south coast of England, I would wait for the tide to ebb and reveal this new playground of rock pools. As an adult and an artist, I found myself in the same spot waiting for the tide to reveal the scene I wanted to recreate in paint.
Christopher Witchall's seascape painting captures the atmosphere, light and open space and vast sky of the English coastline.
