Original artwork description:

As I was painting on location at Sandy Swimming Hole, a woman was hunting for her own treasurers along the shore line. Early morning shadows provided shade and the rapidly moving water in this shallow part of the river going around an island sparked. In the swift water I saw blue spots of sky reflected in the deeper spots and the orange-red of the sand and rocks in the shallower spots. I have also seen trout swimming against the water here and jumping over the rocks. Painted on watercolor paper, white mat board under glass in a birch frame, ready to hang.
