Original artwork description:
I painted this semi-abstract form of the lovely French village of Rocamadour which is situated across the border from Dordogne into the Lot department. I wanted to give a sense of mystery to the beautiful and dramatic setting of the village famous for its healing powers.
The smooth painted sky contrasts with the heavy impasto techniques of the land.
This painting is mounted, framed and wired at the back. The frame and mount are white.
