Original artwork description:
Watercolour painting of a European robin, painted from my own photograph. This artwork was completed in two stages, the background was prepared using a watercolour wash and cling film placed on the wash to create texture. In the second stage, the robin was painted on, along with a few branches and splatters. Some accents are painted in pearlescent acrylic ink resulting in a lovely silvery sheen which can not be seen in the images here.
