Original artwork description:

The cheeky robin always makes an appearance in the garden and veggie patch when Im digging. I've painted him here in the allotment. Their are several layers in this mixed media canvas including various bits of patterned, ripped paper, paint, threads and buttons.

I start the canvas with a rough pencil sketch and then I add the coloured paper before building up the layers with acrylic paint. The last thing I add are the embellishments of thread, beads, buttons and glitter to pick out or highlight certain areas.
