Original artwork description:
I saw these spring flowers on the sunny bank by the bus stop in the village of Rodmell. They looked obstinate and very loud with the pink flowers and dark green leaves. I had to paint them! Back in the studio I painted a series of paintings in quick succession which resulted in the drips and splashes of paint you find in this painting.
