Original artwork description:

This piece started with a common practice of mine lately- the cutting up of an old painting done on paper, that I was never quite pleased with- and incorporating the best bits into this painting. The Pots of Flowers, the lemons, and the bird set the stage, after which the rest easily flowed out. This canvas is painted around the edges. So it can be hung unframed.
