A screenprint composed of various views seen during cycling and walking around the River Tone in Taunton. The image is formed through various views drawin during time spent travelling around the river, each part drawn without looking at the paper, allowing for the chance element to play its part in the composition of the image, responding the the colour line drawn and memory or seeing without looking.
The print follows the same principle: the chance juxtapositioning of the drawn line in drawing fluid, which is then made into a stencil through block. This allows me to lay a colour layer down on the paper surface through the line stencil, building up an image of the scene through colour and line, allowing the language of nature to continue forming the image, allowing space and line to seek a balance in the overall form of the print.
