An abstracted, impressionist landscape painting.

I love using colours and light and shade to describe how I view the world around me, I try to translate what I have seen and experienced onto canvas, with paint as my choice of tool. Evoking mood and colour is one of my primary concerns when painting landscapes.

Kent and east Sussex have wetland and marshy areas, which change and shift with the seasons and time of day.

This impressionistic painting has paint layered, dripped, painted, spattered and brushed onto the canvas surface to create a rich textured surface.

This 75x100cm painting had white painted edges and is strung with picture cord ready to hang
