Mid morning on Little River in Georgia, USA. I've visited this area many times over the years and I enjoy painting and hiking there. It's near the ruins of the old Cherokee Rope Mill.
A steamy hot summer day in Georgia. About mid morning to early afternoon. I made a painting from almost the same spot the day before, but earlier in the morning. The colors were so different just a few hours earlier. This is one of the real challenges of landscape painting, that the light changes so rapidly as the day goes on. Painted en plein aire, this painting measures 8 x 10 inches on stretched canvas. The sides are painted black as shown. Hang the painting as is or in a frame. This painting will be shipped to you unframed.
